Apprentice of the Year

Apprentice boatbuilder, Robert Minney, was proud to be elected 'Norfolk's Apprentice of the Year, in the Manufacturing, Construction, Agriculture and Transport Category in 2003.

Robert was described by the judges as an 'ambassador for modern apprentices, his employers and his industry.'

Today, Robert is a key player in the Goodchild Marine boatbuilding team located at Burgh Castle Yacht Station and Marina.

Since completing his GNVQ course in Yacht and Boatbuilding, Robert is now a 21 year old skilled craftsman engaged in electrical refits and construction work on R.N.L.I. lifeboats and other vessels.
