Otter 26 Classic

Goodchild Marine is pleased to announce that following the success of the new Aqua X-Plore 870 electric-powered exploration launch another new electric –powered vessel has been added to the range – this time a classic cabin launch.

The Otter 26 Classic is another new design by Andrew Wolstenholme retaining the best features of the classic early 20th century gentleman’s launch and bringing it into the 21st century.

Goodchild Marine has brought together the expertise of the modern boatyard and the traditional skills of the cabinetmakers and boatbuilders for which East Anglia is justly famous to produce a beautiful modern replica of the lovely classic launches of Edwardian days.

The Otter 26 Classic is carefully fitted out in varnished mahogany and powered by a modern electric motor fed by industrial standard batteries to allow a long days’ continuous operation.

A battery charger is built in for overnight charging and there is the option to add an almost silent diesel charger for continuous operation or longer distance cruising in areas where power points are few and far between.

The enclosed cabin has seating for at least 6 and the seats double as full length berths. A galley area and a toilet are fitted aft of the cabin.

Forward there is seating for the helmsman and pilot plus at least 3 more in a sociable open area ideal for enjoying the scenery in the sunshine.

Aft there is a secluded cockpit for 2 or 3 to relax in comfort.

The Otter 26 Classic turns heads and is admired wherever she goes.
