Wheelhouse
The KAB 301 suspension helm seat mounted on GRP plinth incorporating a stowage locker beneath, positioned on port side with moulded instrument console and switch panel outboard to port, bulkhead inset with moulded foot rest. The non slip sole incorporates a loose central section to allow access to a large storage and bilge area below. The coachroof linings consist of 6mm marine grade plywood covered in white vinyl. The cabin has one double 12 volt fluorescent light installed to the headlining, switched from the dash control panel.
Windows consist of toughened glass in anodised aluminium to BS MA25; three fixed front screens, one fixed window to port and one fixed to starboard, opening optional, and two fixed rear bulkhead windows. A fully watertight rear bulkhead is provided with one aluminium weather tight door with fixed window. Helmsman's front screen is fitted with pantograph wiper unit.
Machinery Space
Positioned below a flush main deck with generous service access from above. All bilge sections drain to central sumps.
Engine
Nanni Marine 6.420 Tdi 320 hp @ 3600 rpm complete with ZF Hurth 63A hydraulic reduction gearbox. Heat exchanger cooled, solid mounted brackets and flexible mounts, water injection elbow, sump drain pump, suppressed 12 volt starter and alternator, extension loom, instrument panel including audio/visual alarms.
Fuel System
Consisting of stainless steel fuel tank (capacity 455 ltrs), drain sump and fuel take off fittings. The flexible fuel lines are ISO 7840 approved with in-line sedimentor and remote fuel shut off, all piping is installed in accordance with good commercial marine practice. An electrical fuel contents gauge is installed within helmsman console and sender installed within the tank.
Exhaust System
Consisting of GRP exhaust tube, transom outlet with non return flap and inline lift silencer.
Controls
Consisting of Morse single lever control for throttle and gearbox operation and an electrically operated stop control. Steering is provided via a single station hand hydraulic system with approved copper lines and ships wheel. An emergency steering bypass valve will allow operation of emergency tiller without draining oil.
Stern Gear
Consisting of stern tube with water fed cutlass bearings aft and P.T.F.E. packed flexible inboard stuffing gland.
Cast bronze Y bracket with full length cutlass, 1.75" Duplex 25 single tapered shaft and 4 bladed equipoise propeller with standard taper. A stainless steel skeg fitted to rear of the keel, supported by the bottom of Y bracket with removable lower rudder bearing.
Rudder
Single blade balanced stainless steel rudder, supported by a bonded in rudder tube complete with poly bushes and 'O' rings. The bottom pintle is supported by 'Acetal' bearing supported by the lower skeg.
Bilge System
Consisting of manual pump connected to diverter valves and non-return valve strum boxes in forward wheelhouse, machinery and aft hold bilge areas. An electric submersible pump with automatic float switch is fitted to machinery space bilge. All bilge piping in reinforced hose, discharging overboard.
Electrical System
12 volt insulated return system from two heavy-duty 12 volt 110Ah batteries complete with a main remote battery isolator switch providing 12 volt MCB protected supplies.
